I am a printmaker, illustrator, and graphic novelist living and working in Tucson. I enjoy drawing and observing life around me. As a printmaker, I primarily work in woodblock and mixed media. Currently, I am writing and drawing a graphic novel entitled Invisible Journey. I have taught for The Drawing Studio, Tucson Community Print Shop, and the Arizona Print Group.
Relief printmaking, with its strong composition, is a conversation between tool and wood, and paper and ink. I am dedicated to the power of printmaking, and in the power of multiples in spreading that message. I carve different materials but wood is my favorite. Wood has a spirit and energy that changes from block to block. I am a guide for the tool as it cuts the block. and spirit of the print that lives in the printing.
