I am an artist, a gardener and a groomer of plants. The landscape is the inspiration of my work. I am amazed at how things grow and become themselves: the energy required to send up a twenty foot stalk or a two inch brilliant fuchsia bloom. I like to think that as life continues to surprise me, my art does as well. As a teacher, I love the early learning curve that students experience. We all learn from each other and discover that it is possible to draw, and by doing so we form a deeper connection with the world around us.
