“Try It Out”– Sample New Classes Next Saturday

Join us for a day of discovery, and Try Out mini classes (Four classes, each 1.5 hours long) with some of our best teaching artists. A great way to sample upcoming classes. Featured artists: Andrew Rush, Paul Mohr, Deb Steinberg, Maria Arvayo, Katrina Lasko, Sherry Bryant. In the print room: Tom Lindell, Ka Fisher, Miri Fleming, Rebecca Bushner. $10/class or $30 all 4 classes.

March 9: Desert Plant and Floral Portraits in Pastel, with Meredith Milstead, at Glass Illusions.

March 12: Conversations about Art and Life with Andrew Rush. Free to Associates, Faculty and Students of TDS. 4:30 – 6:30pm in the TDS Library. Founder Andrew Rush will lead a Wednesday afternoon program with a weekly topic. No registration needed. Next week: Edward Hopper’s charcoal drawings (“Night Shadows” from 1920 above).

Please join us for Brenna Lacey’s Premier Solo Exhibit Wine & Cheese Reception on Wednesday, March 26, 2014 from 5:30 – 7:00pm at the Jewish Community Foundation of Southern Arizona office, 3567 E. Sunrise Drive, Ste. 143. RSVPs are requested at promise@jcftucson.org or (520) 577-0388. The reception is hosted by JCF and The Drawing Studio. Brenna is a long-time Tucson business professional and past president of the Foundation. An unexpected birthday gift of an art class from her husband opened new doors for her, and she now includes “artist” on her personal resume. Brenna is a supporter and member of the Board of Directors of The Drawing Studio, a non-profit that improves people’s lives through art, teaching and community engagement. This is Brenna’s first solo exhibit, and it represents her joyful and rewarding journey into the world of drawing, painting, printmaking, and other media.
