ABOUT

Bring your young artist to The Drawing Studio for introductory and intermediate instruction in drawing and painting. We will explore creativity in mixed medias, such as pastels, watercolors, acrylic, etc. There will be specialized practices that will rotate so each camper gets a shake at it: murals, comics, printmaking (just to name a few!).

The sharing of ideas and skills within the safe and supportive environment of The Drawing Studio creates collaborations and celebrates discovery, which in turn expands, nurtures, and unites our community. We also offer art instruction for youth on evenings, one-day workshops, and series courses that meet once a week for 3 – 6 weeks.

WHY CHOOSE US

All materials are included so no need to acquire any supplies! Snacks are provided for all youth classes, and lunches are provided for all immersion camp participants.

Experienced Teaching Artists, committed to arts equity, provide outstanding instruction with sensitivity to the spectrum of apparent and non apparent disability. These artists are particularly skilled at sharing their craft with youth, using engaging, tested and true programs.

SCHOLARSHIPS

Art of Summer 2025 camps are full. Scholarships are not being awarded for Art of Summer. Full and partial scholarships are available for families in need of financial support for other youth classes throughout the year. Please don’t let cost barriers keep your young artist(s) from experiencing art of spring and summer. Apply here.
