Andrea Mendola

Andrea received a bachelor’s in education from the University of Arizona. She studied art in Arizona and Santa Fe, and has worked as a muralist for more than 20 years. Andrea enjoys drawing the human form and portraiture, and her recent passions include pastels and animal portraiture. She creates at the Artist Studio Co-op in Tucson and teaches drawing and painting to youth and adults throughout the city.

Artist Statement

Andrea strives to communicate a deep respect of the natural world and humanity through her work. She believes that observation, thoughtful consideration, and intention bring a deeper understanding of the world around us, of each other, and of ourselves. She shares with her students a passion for learning and a sense of adventure and play in art making.
