Nothing can shake the independent spirit of a budding artist.
Art of Summer is a dazzling success– an experience that inspires and ignites everyone involved. TDS extends heartfelt thanks to all donors who support our youth classes, OATS, and other community arts immersion programs that allow artists– young, old, and in between, to SHINE.
Our Annual Fund Campaign has officially ended, but it’s never too late to give.
Teens: Ever want to put on a professional art show? Want to explore local galleries and find out what’s behind the scenes? Gallery Management for ages 13-18 will teach students how to install an exhibition by producing the upcoming Art of Summer student show. Starts July 14. Register now!
Speaking of the Art of Summer show: It’s going to be fabulous, so don’t miss it! Reception will be Saturday, July 19, 6-8 pm at TDS.
Signs of Change: The back parking lot at our downtown location is no more. This will not affect most TDS students, but we take this opportunity to share downtown parking options:
Parkwise. Official website for downtown parking. Note that Centro Garage (near 4th Ave. & Congress) has the lowest daytime rate at $3/hr.
Pennington Street Garage is the closest, at 6th St. & Pennington.
There are 6-hour meters on 12th St., by Armory Park, between 5th and 6th Ave., 1.5 blocks south of TDS.
The parking lot behind The Chicago Store, just across the street, is available evenings after 5pm and weekends.
