Youth Outreach

Our youth outreach programs introduce professional artists and studio practice to young people throughout the community. TDS partners with social service agencies, youth development organizations, and schools to bring a range of media, projects and instruction to young people ages 9-18. If you are interested in partnering with TDS, please contact us at 520-620-0947 or email

Youth Development Agencies

TDS is positioned to work with youth development organizations and after-school programs that wish to bring art and teaching artists to students. We can help with professional training of your art instructors or develop an embedded art program. Currently, we partner with all six Tucson Boys & Girls Clubhouses: Morton, Drachman, Click, Holmes-Tuttle, Daru, and Pascua Yaqui to bring high-level art instruction and training to staff and youth alike.

High School Open Studio

Charter, public, and private high school art classes and clubs are invited to the TDS studio to practice figure drawing. School or art programs of up to 20 students can attend a 3-hour, instructed and monitored Open Studio session, where students get practice drawing a clothed model from direct observation. The experience allows young people the opportunity to create in a studio setting and with professional models and artists. (The TDS studio is accessible by SunTran.) To schedule a session, please email
