Renaissance in Printmaking

TDS offers all kinds of printmaking opportunities for students of all levels of experience. Linocut and Monoprint are featured in this newsletter.

It’s happening in the TDS Print Room!
Lino Lab starting 11/6 will now be combined with mono print. Taught by Lynn Fleischman, this dual focus is sign up by the calendar month. For newbies and the more experienced.


Quite a few classes are starting 11/5: at our beautiful new northwest location “Hummingbird House” begins Drawing Fundamentals Level 1 with Lynn Fleischman; at Casas Adobes satellite: Drawing Fundamentals Level 2 with Annie Andre; Plein air watercolor on site with Ellen Fountain.


All you wanted to know about Color and Drawing, but were afraid to ask? Here’s a plethora from which to choose: Drawing Fundamentals 1 with Deb Steinberg (begins 11/7); Color Fundamentals with colored pencil Level 2 with Betina Fink (featured above) begins 11/8; both Figure Drawing and Drawing Fundamentals Level 2 with Paul Mohr begin 11/10; ongoing Open Studio Still-Life on Saturdays monitored by Meredith Milstead.


Our ever popular Small Wonders holiday fundraiser show is now up until December 14. Opens Saturday, November 2, 6-9pm. A wonderful selection of all kinds of gift giving forms of art, from drawing to printmaking, to sculpture. All items $200 or less. 50% of sales donated to support TDS programs. Additional evening hours: Saturdays, Nov 9, 16, 23 & 30; Dec 7 & 14. Small Wonders Jewel Box Sunday, December 8, 1-4 pm: Art Jewelry & Elegant Accessories invitational show and sale.


Katrina Lasko, TDS teaching artist has a recent article in the Desert Leaf newspaper. She speaks about teaching, being an artist, and continuing to take classes no matter what your level of art profession is. Her multi media wall piece is featured above.
